Halloween Wedding at Red Bird Ridge in Burnett, TX

Hey lovebirds!

Today I want to share our most recent couple’s gallery with you! Brittney + Paul’s wedding day was a spooky dream in the Hill Country. The wedding took place at Red Bird Ridge about one hour outside of Austin, TX. The bride wanted a Tim Burton wedding since the date was the Saturday of Halloween weekend. We used lots of dark, quirky details to complete this one! The bride was stunning in her A-line dress with black lace. The couple had a hand-fasting ceremony with their kids and used red smoke bombs to create a blood-filled sky during their night photos. The bride wanted to DIY the decor but did not have a handle on the design plan. So, she bought tons of spooky, dark wedding decor and asked us to style it well. This is the result! She also had no idea what to do with her cake, so I took leftover roses and made it pop! Pro tip: Hire a designer/decorator for your wedding. We know how to create the dreamiest designs out of any wedding theme, vision, or aesthetic! All of the tables were designed on-site and no two were alike.

The couple wanted a night full of meaningful moments so we tweaked their timeline to focus as much on them as possible. They have children, so the kids were the bridal parties and participated in the handfasting. The two exchanged their written vows for each other during the first look to keep them private. We also booked a live painter to give them a portrait they could keep of their ceremony forever! The same painter surprised the groom with a rendition of his recently passed mother so that her likeness could be at the reception.
